HamNet privacy policy

What is collected?

By HamNet itself, nothing: no accounts, no analytics, no backend. See “Advertising” for what an ad network may process.

What is stored on the phone?

Your VPN link, settings (port, sharing mode, language, theme) and, if enabled, the proxy username/password. All of it lives only in the app's private storage on that phone and is removed when the app is uninstalled.

Network traffic

HamNet forwards connected devices' traffic from your phone to the VPN server you configured. Traffic content is not logged; only byte counters are kept for display and reset when the app closes.

Permissions

VPN (the built-in tunnel), Wi-Fi and nearby devices (to create the Wi-Fi Direct network), notifications (sharing status), foreground execution (to keep the tunnel alive). None is used to collect data.

Advertising

HamNet is free and may show ads. The ad network may process the device advertising ID and general device information (model, language, approximate country) under its own privacy policy. You can reset the advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Android settings (Google → Ads). The ad network in use is Google AdMob (privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy).
